Sewing again!

My sewing machine is finally fixed and back at my home, ready to go to work again! I am very pleased. Of course I had to make sure that it was working properly ;) so I started this apron right away yesterday afternoon. I got the six pieces for the "skirt" of it sewn together, as well as the pink edging, and I started the sash. This morning I was able to finish it. Thankfully this sort of fabric lends itself to matching the pattern, so the little pocket blends right in, and each little flower petal piece has its fabric centered in the same way. I had such fun finding a use for the rest of the tiny blue rick rack that I had waiting for just such an occasion in my little sewing drawer. What I like about this pattern is that it fits so nicely once you have it on...feminine flutters but not too much extra bulk. :) Every girl needs to have a few aprons like these in her kitchen!

It was such a nice surprise to see your name in the comments section, Charity! Thank you for visiting! How are you doing? I hope that sometime soon we'll have the chance to catch up face-to-face and enjoy some iced tea together. :) Until then, may the Lord go with you! With love, Katie Rose
