Monday Musings

It is Monday again, and with it comes the necessary straightening and cleaning after a weekend of being in and out of the house working on various projects.

The sun was shining a bit more this morning than it has been, which has a cheering effect on one's outlook. It was the first without rain in several days. The rainy days didn't get too dreary though because it really poured, as opposed to being an endless drizzle, and I always enjoy real rain storms!

I have quite a bit of dusting to do, so I got started on that this morning. I also tried yet again to organize the clutter that always seems to accumulate in my little side room that holds all of my sewing and craft supplies. It's takes a bit of thinking to find just the right way to store vintage spools of thread, thimble collections, favorite dishes, and different colors of seed beads so that they don't look like they're cluttering but you can still enjoy the beauty of their colors and shapes! My camera's photo card is being stubborn today and will keep losing my pictures, otherwise I would show you how I fixed my little organizing problem. Maybe tomorrow!

My hearth is always in need of a vacuuming, and during last weekend's deluge we were able to find all of the places that rain can get down a wood stove chimney :), so I had a bit of cleaning to do there. Fun, I assure you...

My man and I were able to drive to M to get our groceries Saturday night, which gives me great flexibility in this week's menu--always nice. Cornflakes and English muffins for breakfast... mmmm. ;)

Mama and siblings and a friend are coming over tomorrow afternoon...quite fun. Tea and chatting. I plan on copying down a couple of amazing muffin recipes from Mama's new cookbook that they're supposed to bring. I tried one of them yesterday and can't wait to make it myself. Orange cranberry nut. Wow.

I should get back to my housekeeping endeavors as much fun as it would be to keep rambling. More later!

(later) Ah, ha! Apparently the photo card just needed to be formatted for it to get a new perspective on life and begin to cooperate. The which I am glad for because I have become rather attached to being able to take pictures with this camera. Anyway...here are the promised pictures of my morning's organizationary (a word by me) endeavors!

Ah, yes...and a little bit of painting of blue:
