Wherein the Boppy is outwitted

A Boppy is a wonderful thing to have. It is so nice for giving your arms a break when you're nursing a newborn. It can also be nice when Rosebuds are learning how to sit up--just a little support at the base of their back where they need it.
However... when your name is Greta and you have a favorite toy basket that you love to play with and is right within reach, you want it.
Greta pulled at her basket, and it came over to her but wouldn't go the last few inches. She pulled and tugged, and then she looked down and earnestly scratched at the Boppy (apparently realizing that that was why her basket wasn't coming to her). That did not improve matters. So she reached over, grabbed hold of the basket with two hands and heaved it up and over the side of the Boppy and onto her lap (quite a feat for a little girl). It was just what she wanted. Now she had it in her lap and could actually get to the inside of it. It was so funny to see her do it. The expression on her face of concentration and exertion when she picked the basket up was hilarious. (I was so glad that I already had the camera out to take pictures!) It was a lot of work though. Soon the basket fell back out and she decided to just lean back and find her thumb. Oh well!

I wonder where she gets that 'strongly determined' streak...hmm. a mystery.
Thank you, Kat, for keeping all of us up on these episodes of adorability. It's delightful to know and see the details.
Love you--
