My man finished building a lovely coffee table for our living room this evening. He made it out of some black walnut boards that we got from a [sort of] nearby lumber yard. He's spent several evenings and weekends working on it in his parents' garage across town; sometimes Greta and I would go visit and watch him. Planing, gluing, planing, cutting, sanding, cutting the tenons and mortises. The table is so beautiful! I look forward to moving it into our home when the finish is completely dry (which should be in the next couple of days). It was amazing to see it take shape and go from a drawing on a piece of paper to an heirloom piece of furniture. I will treasure it! Do you see the interesting curved designs of the end pieces, shelf edges and supports? Caleb designed and drew up the entire thing himself (with me looking over his shoulder ;)).

Wow! What a beautiful table to treasure for many years to come. Your Caleb is mighty good at crafting furniture. Will be watching for other beautiful hand- crafted pieces that I'm sure he'll be making for you. Hugs, Aunt Bea
P.S. Your little Greta is definitely a little 'rosebud'!
