A delicious Christmas package arrived in the mail today. The opening of it caused such gaspings and oohings that Greta looked concerned. The first thing I saw when I took out the packing paper was a shallow wooden box filled with these beautiful straw-art ornaments. I was thrilled! Snowflakes and bells, wreaths and reindeer. So European and so the very thing I would love to have in my home at Christmastime. Sister helped me to hang them from the raspberry branches that I have over my living room archway. So perfect.
Thank you ever so much, Miss A.!

Just beautiful, these.
Straw, reminding of the manger.

And so He comes!

Glad to see it arrived, dear Katya!
I knew you would appreciate the Scandinavian deliciousness and "do the right thing". I have greenery arched over the wall behind my bed with a lone ornament hanging. Now if the temperature would drop below 70 degrees here, I'd be set. :)

Merry Christmas sweetie.

Love always,
