Joyous Warmth

It is almost 60° outside, the windows are open, and the birds are singing. Sheets are hanging from my clothesline for the first time this year!

~My pot of dirt is thawed, so I used it to pot my little sprigs that spent the winter growing roots on my kitchen windowsill.~

Hi! Just wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying your blog. I found you through (I think) Little Jenny Wren.

I stayed up until an indecent hour last night reading archived entries.

I'm a 37 year old Christian homeschooling mother. As I read, I kept thinking of what a comfort your pictures/writing would have been to me in my baby raising days. Oh, we poor things who went through brand new motherhood without the blog world!

This visitor from the other side of the Atlantic ocean was hanging out her duvet cover and pillow slips for the first time this year too.

Dear Katie,

Oh, I have missed visiting you! Your photos are written entries are as lovely and sweet as ever! I have been hanging laundry on the line too, and we have been planting veggie and flower seeds in the garden! So glad you are able to hang your laundry out and enjoy the birdsong. I love that! We have a sweet Caroline Wren sitting on her cozy nest she made in our shed. I love wrens... and I love spring!

Your plants look so pretty and I love the lace curtains framing your lovely view. Thank you for sharing your home and heart!

A very happy and belated birthday to Miss Greta Rose!! She is so adorable!
Love, Paula

Wasn't that a fantastic day? I kept finding excuses to go out in the yard and just be out there in the sun and breeze and listen to the bird songs.
