We two

::
While straightening up around our main room in the late afternoon I suddenly had a sense that all was not right with my table. There was a distinct lack of tableclothage. It needed softening. I began hunting about with an appropriating eye and came upon a lovely old jumper of mine (lovely in fabric that is, but not so much in cut). Out came the pinking shears and now I have a lovely tablecloth. So it doesn't cover the table? Ah, yes--I like to think of it as having style. Notice the lovely swoop of the hem? mm hhmm! Perfect.

(Thankfully there's still enough laminate surface in case you need to set something sticky down. Suddenly.)

Now for Post-Snacktime Pictures:

Do you see how she keeps trying to peek around the camera to smile at me? Precious thing. She was also making silly faces and trying to get me to make them back to her. Which I did. Of course.

I love the little face series! The highs and lows, the drama, the goofy and the pained. Hilarious. I just eat this up, of course. What fun to be able to join you for snack time through the blog. Thanks for posting about day to day life at your sweet little house.

I cannot wait to give some sqeezes and Mimi kisses.

Your tablecloth is great. Yep, the fabric was better than the cut, and now the table has a new dress. Stylish. Use-what-you-have decorating. One of our very favorite pastimes, no?

Dear Katie,

All your photos are so beautiful!!! Greta Rose is a doll and quite the happy baby... thanks to her dear loving momma! I love the tablecloth, it looks so lovely, the whole arrangement is beautiful! I love the lamp hanging on the wall, the painting and the lamp in the corner. The twigs are so pretty in the white vase and the candles are so homey! Very welcoming and cozy!

Love and blessings, Paula

I love to see how others use what they have, and I'm such a fan of simple innovation.

Your baby is an angel. Just a tiny bit bigger than mine. This is such a fun age!!!
