Denim Patchwork

A mid-winter bit of sewing.
So satisfying to make patterns with hues of blue, squares cut from old jeans.
Backed in camouflage fleece and tied with wool.
A warm spot to sleep.

Seeing this makes me kick myself that I just dropped off an entire bag of jeans to Goodwill. This would have been such a fun project. :( Oh well.
In the meantime, I'm helping Maggie to make one of these:

A fun and easy first sewing project for little fingers.

This is so beautiful! I have a bag of old jeans that I have been saving. This would be great for one of my boys' rooms. I love the different shades of denim together. Such personality.

You know I love every post you write. So much happiness and creativity. And I have to tell you the photo of your little girl holding the cake plate...well, the expression on her face makes me teary. So sweet. Love to all of you. Please tell your mama I'm looking forward to her blogging again, as she keeps teasing me that she will.
