Thanksgiving

I hope you had a blessed day yesterday. May we all truly have hearts filled with thanksgiving to the Lord--"that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection".
(Quote from George Washington's 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation)

Enjoying leftovers together:

Below are two pieces of fitting reading for this holiday. Our heritage. Would that we also maintained such an appropriate view of the Lord's hand in our lives!

Everything looks so delicious! So glad you had a lovely Thanksgiving!

We have read George Washington's Thanksgiving Proclamation and loved it. I have not read Abraham Lincoln's, so thank you for sharing the links! I agree with your sweet thoughts.. "that we also maintain such an appropriate view of the Lord's hand in our lives!" So very true!

Blessings, Paula
