I've always wanted one of these wire basket thingies. Mama, you used to have one, right? At Taylor Street maybe? They've always delighted me--I'm not sure why. :)

I love those hangy basket things. They were a practical necessity in some of the not-overly-counterfull kitchens (and countries) we've lived in. And yes, I believe we still kept onions and garlic in one for awhile at the Taylor Street house. I love the juxtaposition of jumbly jars and dried twiggy peppers in yours. Not to even mention the delicious blue wall and picture and orangey bundt pan. Was that great grandma's? So pretty. I've actually been feeling the retro hippyish need for an old macrame plant hanger thing, speaking of not-too-up-to-the-minute things that we want to hang from our ceilings. Is that just too much?

Oh, you've got to get one of those plant hangers. I think I, personally, would go for jute. Ultra rustic. But cotton would be delightful. Maybe wooden beads. I think the contrast of textures is so necessary. Paint, finished wood, baskets, growing greens, yarn. But you, of course, know that. :)
