Outing

Yesterday the littles and I got to go with Caleb's lovely mama on my annual birthday trip to the greenhouses to pick up new treasures for my garden.  Going to a greenhouse is thrilling for me--the beauty! the possibilities!  I love to pick perennials so I get to see my little growing friends next year, but there are always those special annuals I can't resist (moss roses, herbs)

Lookin' at the lily pond.

My buddy.  Not feeling the greenhouse joy quite as much as Mama. ;)

We had a picnic lunch at a lovely park I'd never been to in the middle of downtown with beautiful gardens and a fountain.  The kiddos sure enjoyed the fountain...and the good fruit Gramma brought!

Several attempts were made at climbing in, of course.

Then home again, home again for a wee bit of naptime and planting (my favorite part!)

This pincushion flower is so pretty.  And it's perennial!

Lovely people! Lovely day! So happy that you have this tradition. That dear Connie. Who understands your love of garden more than she does? You hit the MIL jackpot. Truly. I can't wait to inspect the new beauties in the garden. xoxo
