Marigolds & Mending

*  *  *  *  *

It was a mending sort of Monday.  I've let it pile up rather in the corner of my laundry room, and it was time someone took care of it.  Were I to have the time, a quiet and tidy needle and thread is what I would enjoy, but generously applied zig zag does the trick and darns a hole well!

Layering of lace and buttons made lovely some larger holes in my great grandmother's dresser scarf.

June

Without a doubt my favorite time of the year.
Green leaves,
fireflies,
Strawberry Moon,
and windows open all night.

5.24

With the wrapping up of the school year comes some extra corners of time to fit in things I have been meaning to do.  It's a joy to be able to haul my [neglected] sewing machine out and take a few minutes to whip out a couple of quick projects.  Bibs for a girlie, lavender sachets for drawers.

Lily of the Valley

When I walked into the kitchen, these beautiful little bells were filling the room with their fragrance.  So grateful to see these spring friends again.

A little boy's friends.

Yellow softness for a tiny girl.  A little adjustable sleep sack.

2 drops each of Frankincense, Bergamot, and Orange diffusing.
Such a lovely background fragrance to the day.
Soothing and uplifting.

Garden Days

~Bluebells~

~Birdnests, Books~

The little guy is not very big, but he wanted his own garden.  Everyone else was planting in their own little spot.  He knew he mustn't dig in Mama's.  He wanted to know where his garden spot was.
"A one? Darden? A mine?"
I told him that Mama would make him one and he could play with it after nap.

After nap he came straight outside.
"Do you know what that is?" I asked him.
He slowly nodded and smiled a big smile.
"Whose garden is that?"
"Mine!"

Big sister walked by.  He looked up and poked his dirt with a big smile: "A darden--mine!"
